RING OF KERRY
The Ring of Kerry is a circular 180 km driving route around the Iveragh Peninsula that starts and finishes in Killarney. It is better to drive the route anti-clockwise to enjoy the rugged and verdant coastal landscapes and rural seaside villages.
It also guides you through the Kerry International Dark Sky Reserve offering, thanks to dark unlightpolluted skies, a unique opportunity to observe more stars, planets, and the Milky Way than anywhere else in the world .
SKELLIG RING
A quiet scenic road through often very steep route around the most westerly promontory of the Iveragh Peninsula, showing astonishing views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The famous hiking trail "Kerry Way" , which crosses all the Iveragh Peninsula, passes by the area.
Boat excursions to Skellig Michael and its awe-inspiring rock sixth century monastic settlement and sea birds colonies (gannets, puffins, etc...), where the two last Star Wars movies have been shot, take departure at Portmagee (15 min. drive from Uisce Beatha House).

SKELLIG SIX 18 DISTILLERY (10 min. drive from B&B)
Located at the end of Cahersiveen, this new distillery offers very a instructive visit about the making process of Gin and Whiskey. The local history and traditions are also highlighted during the visit. A gin and whiskey tasting session and a vibrant shop are available at the end of the visit.
